Aug 19, 2013 · I went with a 3:08 which is the tallest gearing that Eaton says should be used in the posi. With the shift kit in the transmission it will break the tires loose every time it shifts. The powerglide like the TH350 is not an overdrive transmission so if you want to take some trips and keep the rpm's down a little the 3:08 may be the way to go.
