Regular formula spitfires and bones will wear down like any other wheel. As far as 147 or 148, 148 is exactly made for 8.25 boards. 147 is better for 8.125 or 8.0 sizes but they can be put on larger boards. I have indy 144 on one deck (i love them), and some 148s on another (Also good but im not a tech guy atm).

There is no standard truck length because it varies per brand. For example, a deck size ranging from 7.4 to 7.8 inches may have a 129 mm truck size from Independent but a 145 mm truck size from Thunder. On the other hand, a deck ranging from 8.4 to 8.6 inches may have a 5.8 inches truck size from Venture but a 5.75 truck size from Krux.

Feb 25, 2021 · One way to size your trucks is to think about what you might get in the future, for decks. As an example, 8"-8.5" decks, I'd get an 8.25" truck. Plus/minus .25" works for most people as a ratio. A simpler answer is, get an 8.25" truck. The 4 most popular brands are Indy, Venture, Thunder, Ace. All are good.

A truck with an axle width margin of +/- 0.25″ would work out as well, but we wouldn't recommend that kind of setup.
