Aug 04, 2017 · Use the "Power Off" button on the dash to completely shut down the vehicle. Exit the car and close all doors, then take the key out of range of the vehicle for 2 minutes. Return and open the door, but don't close it. Put the window all the way down, then all the way up, then get in and close the door behind you.

Jan 16, 2019 · The first is the glovebox, which refuses to stay closed while driving. The second one is a broken frunk, which won't open. If you can't open the frunk you will be in trouble because this is the only way to refill washer fluid. Tesla's service experience on site was called awesome, so let's hope that all Model 3 owners will be dealing

Mar 13, 2019 · I suspect the Insight is seeing my keyfob in my jacket as being too close to the trunk, or it still thinks I am sitting in the drivers seat. You should still be able to close the trunk even if the fob was in the cabin. For laughs, open the trunk and move all fobs 20' away, then try to close the trunk with them far away. That'll tell the tale.

Trunk won't close problem started when weather was very cold ( 0 - 10 degrees ), after it warmed up in garage it would close. Then the door locks and trunk would not operate correctly. The remote start didn't want to work, then it did then it wouldn't.

Lube it up well & try a screwdriver in latch, the same way it would catch on striker on body and see if it snaps in and holds, if it doesn't, keep lubricating latch and try again until it does. Work key position in lock as well, to make sure it is actually in the latch position & not stuck in open

I have a 2018 Model 3 with a front passenger door that refuses to open from the outside about 40% of the time. The handle opens and retracts normally. Occasionally, if I pull the handle once or twice, nothing happens. Door won't budge. No sound from the latch activating. If I wait a couple seconds, it opens normally.

Closing The Model 3 hood is not heavy enough to latch under its own weight and applying pressure on the front edge or center of the hood can cause damage. To properly close the hood: Lower the hood until the striker touches the latches.
