May 03, 2008 · The steering is gonna be the hard part. I had to drill and mount the 4x4 box, and swap in the K10 steering column. This will take some fab work because the 77's column isn't a direct swap. The wiring is different too. I made a bracket, and chased/spliced my wires. If you have a single pot brake resevoir swap in a dual pot and power brakes.

The only body part I might need / want, is the trans tunnel in the cab. In 4wd models, the tunnel bolts in place. The 2wd models, it's spot welded in place. I'd have to cut mine out, and bolt in the 4wd one, or modify mine, to allow room for the transfer case. Then cut a hole in mine, for the shifter to pass through.
